I've been working on a startup idea from time to time for the past few months, and today I found pretty much the exact thing and they've already raised $16M.
My first reaction is defeat, but now I'm curious what to do next. Do I keep at it, finding areas to improve, or should I just move on?
How many people here have experienced something similar? It's hard to have an entirely unique idea these days, but still, does it ever make sense to chase a moving train?
Granted, my investment has been minimal, so moving on wouldn't hurt. The only real damage is to my ego. Am I alone?
